On behalf of my family, I wish to express my profound condolences to the family of Evangelist (Dr) Umah Ukpai, the government and people of Abia State, and the Christian community in Nigeria and worldwide on the loss of a remarkable Christian leader, Evangelist Umah Ukpai over the weekend.

Evangelist Ukpai was a globally acknowledged preacher of the Christian faith through his missionary work spanning about six decades.

His passion for, and commitment to education, which culminated in the establishment of the Umah Ukpai Polytechnic, is a legacy that will, in addition to his impactful spiritual work, stand the test of time.
