If you loved how Opus 4.6 felt to work with, Opus 5.5 feels like coming home. Same easy back-and-forth with a lot more horsepower underneath. It's the most fun I've had in Claude Code in a while.
It's also much cheaper (~40% less than Opus 5 on typical workloads).
@quxiaoyin How does agent sky differ from other api providers like nebius token factory, open router or even getting the api from the company directly? Seems there is a lot of people getting in the space and i dont really understand the differentiation
Google has (allegedly) achieved RSI.
It’s a bigger deal than another model release.
RSI = recursive self-improvement.
The idea is an AI system helping build, train, or improve the next version of itself, and that loop repeating so each generation accelerates the one after it.
There is a difference between the weak version and the wild version. Weak RSI is already normal: AI writing code for AI infra, automated architecture search, Google’s own AlphaEvolve finding faster algorithms. Humans still review everything.
A stronger version is also happening at the big labs right now, just with less public detail: Anthropic has said Claude writes a large chunk of its own new code, Tibo said Astra helps shipping next things at OpenAI. Still human-gated at important decisions.
If this is true, model cycles that used to take years could take weeks. Google will be so back!
CHINESE AI CHIPMAKERS ARE RAISING PRICES DUE TO HBM SHORTAGES — REUTERS
Huawei has raised the price of its Ascend 950DT to 250,000 yuan, a 20%–50% increase from the quotes it gave customers two months ago.
Cambricon has also raised the price of its next-generation chip, tentatively called the 690, by 20%–30% from the level quoted two months ago.
Rivals MetaX and Iluvatar CoreX have implemented similar price increases.
Since the United States tightened export controls on certain advanced HBM products to China in December 2024, Chinese semiconductor manufacturers have increasingly relied on black-market channels to secure supplies.
The HBM memory procured by China on the black market generally costs several times more than what buyers outside China pay.
Prices for Huawei’s earlier-generation products have also risen.
The Ascend 950PR, which sold for about 60,000 yuan per unit earlier this year, is now trading at more than 80,000 yuan, an increase of roughly 30%.
The price of the older Ascend 910C board has risen from about 90,000 yuan earlier this year to more than 110,000 yuan.
We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics.
The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra.
The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.
@Kintsugi_IO Not long i tried building a pre ipo perpetuals exchange, wasn't able to get the funding at the time but really udnerstood and got a hang of different ways to do it, would love to learn more about how you guys did it!
