I tore my ACL and both meniscus last June and had surgery in July. The Nike EYBL tournament in New Orleans was my first since the injury. It’s great to be back!

Top takeaways from the live period this weekend.
1.) Playing hard is now a skill — too many kids taking plays off or just playing too cool in front of coaches!
PSA: AAU officials - I know you work 1,000 games in a weekend & I know that by 7 pm on Sunday you are done, but you are responsible for the safety of the players on the floor…when you stop calling fouls b/c you don’t want the clock to stop bad & dangerous things happen!!!
Thanks for the writeup @JrAllStarBB from the Battle At The Bell! https://t.co/Gzvyuwhkvc
Jordyn Williams – 2027 – Lady Runnin Rebels National 17u
Jordyn can light it up from many spots on the floor while even taking on match up problems versus bigger opponents and taking them to the hole. She can get steals and cause turnovers on a regular basis in half court and full court defensive schemes. This young lady is tough and likes to guard the other team’s best player all game.
Recruits live period takeaways:
Post entry passing.
Pull up 3's in transition.
Pass up a good shot for a great shot.
If you ask for the ball make a play.
Energy and Effort can't be coached.
Body language says everything.
Until next time......

I watched AAU basketball all weekend.
I left with bad news for most players:
Too many are building highlight reels before they’re building winning habits.
The game ends. They lose. And before they’ve watched film or owned what needs to change…
The post is already up.
The highlight clip.
The posed photo.
Everyone wants exposure.
But exposure doesn’t fix bad shot selection.
It doesn’t make you defend.
It doesn’t teach you how to impact winning.
The camera should document the work.
It shouldn’t become the reason for the work.
@CoachChills Most post-event reports are marketing material. They highlight the kids who validate the program, not the ones who need the most work. Honest evaluation is uncomfortable for clubs because it creates accountability. But that's exactly when development starts.
