@BillMelugin_ Congrats to @AlexNowrasteh and @David_J_Bier!
I'm just thankful the victim could exercise her right to "free association" with violent military aged males from the third world.
Another Cato WIN!
@MidwesternML177@XCarcallaX@bumbadum14 The data centers proposed and under construction right now are often giant.
AI is coming whether you like it or not. Manufacturing will happen using Chinese robots or American robots. Might as well be ours.
@XCarcallaX@bumbadum14 First, we should be building data centers everywhere, not any particular state.
Second, the AI work needed to develop and program advanced robotics will rely on compute.
@XCarcallaX@bumbadum14 They create 1000 construction jobs for 18-24 months and then 100+ permanent jobs. Sure, we should manufacture other stuff too, but thats no reason to oppose data centers.
More importantly, without data centers America will be doing 0 robotics manufacturing which is the future.
@Liardo1@mattyglesias Why is that bad?
Why would it possibly be good for everyone to have the same level of healthcare regardless of how much they contribute to the economy or save for themselves?
Why should someone who doesn't work have equal healthcare to someone who works 70 hour weeks?
@DCTalks1009@xwanyex I don't know anything about St. Louis specifically, but beauty + security + tax cuts is better for a city long-term than pouring more money down the welfare hole.
@AlexNowrasteh This is embarrassing. You and your brother *don't* have the same genetics -- it's your different genetics that make you different people.
Do you actually believe that "you" are a soul assigned randomly to a body at birth?
@_Koko_Reed@tobiaraji Sudan passes a law that says "FGM is encouraged." Now every Sudanese 13-year-old gets automatic U.S. citizenship? Absurd.
America isn't a dumping ground for savages from the most backward countries on earth.
@Ed_of_O@tobiaraji They can exercise that "right" a little closer to home. No one intended asylum law to give every 13 year old girl in Africa an automatic right to U.S. citizenship.
@flippantseal@tobiaraji They have an automatic path to citizenship and if we've learned anything in the last year, it's a Racism Against Human Rights (TM) to deport an asylee once they're in America, regardless of their criminal activity or their lack of contribution to society.
@bluman302@mattyglesias It was particularly effective vs Kerry because he seemed to shift position on Iraq *during* the campaign. He voted for the war in 2003, voted for more troop funding, "opposed" the war in the Dem primaries, and then supported the war but objected to tactics during the general.
@Katie_Bergh Does it even cross your mind to *try* to provide evidence that these people needed SNAP? Or that they're materially worse off without it?
If people aren't willing to fill out paperwork to get SNAP, then they're definitely not starving.
@David_J_Bier But in reality you and I and Mark all understand that this Nigerian is not "skilled" in any meaningful sense of the word.
We all know that America is better off without him.
@TytheGreat4@wil_da_beast630 Have to recognize that libs exist. Kill criminals whenever you can because when the pendulum swings and libs come to power they'll release any criminal they can.
