[EU Service for Foreign Policy Instruments 🌐 @EU_FPI]

With our support @free_fields has removed & destroyed 178 unexploded ordnance in Greater Tripoli area, #Libya. Crucial mine risk education was delivered to 6 000 individuals, including children. This helped to increase access to productive land, improve livelihoods & access to basic services facilitating the return of Internally Displaced Persons. This is #EUForeignPolicy in action! #MineAwarenessDay

On April 30th, a side event "Mine Action in #Libya" was held at the #NDMUN27 on the theme "Protecting Lives. Building Peace." The event, facilitated by UNSMIL ’s Mine Action Section, featured a joint presentation by the #LibMAC and the Free Field Foundation (#3F).
