A Green Party councillor who is also a GP is reportedly being investigated by the General Medical Council (GMC).

We raised concerns about Dr Rebecca Jones ahead of the May local elections. Her reported social media history included a now-deleted post which allegedly referred to Bob Vylan’s “Death, death to the IDF” chant at Glastonbury last summer as “amazing”. Another post from 2024 reportedly read “Burn Zionism to the ground.”

Dr Jones, who is a Green Party councillor in Lewisham, reportedly confirmed the GMC’s investigation through a post on her social media account.

It is high time that the healthcare sector was held accountable, and the Green Party must now follow suit and investigate her as well.
