@footballmdm Any projects that bring the community and different generations is great, there needs to be more of these types of collaborations within different communities.
Incorporating DeBono’s six thinking hats model into community based projects or learning tasks, encourages students to see things from different perspectives, as well as encouraging problem solving, critical thinking, interpretation & discussion #UoNTeach
For students to be involved in a community-based project they must be explicitly taught critical thinking & problem-solving skills to interpret, analyse and evaluate information (Kivunja, 2015). De Bono’s six thinking hats model can provide this. #UoNTeach
@Erin_C_123 When I went to school, Aboriginal History taught was very limited. Accessing information and knowledge from the lands council is a great idea to ensure that students are being taught true and correct information.
@Erin_C_123 What a great space to share knowledge and information, suitable for all types of lessons. I agree, I’d love to see areas like this in all schools.
@Erin_C_123 I agree, yes technology is a vital element of the future, but so is collaboration, problem solving, critical thinking, 21st Century Learning is a combination of all of these.
