@Katelin_McD I'd never thought about user experience in writing either, I was usually writing for school, but this course has taught me that it's so important! Every professor, colleague, student (speaking as a future teacher), is different... so, how we write should reflect that! #engl318mu
@GWufei I've totally changed my writing style in this way as well! I used to focus so much on it being "perfect" and "precise," or getting a good grade, rather than the purpose of the writing itself. I will focus greatly on audience and purpose in the future, as well! #engl318mu
@GWufei I agree that reflection is KEY in the writing process! I used to be afraid of criticism and reflecting too much on what I'd done wrong, but now I've learned I can gain so much from it by applying what I've learned to future writing! #engl318mu
@nosstalgic93 @Katelin_McD I agree that the writing steps could change based on the audience or information! I think this is a great process, especially with the audience in mind when brainstorming. #engl318mu
These concepts will help me in other classes by reminding me to think about my audience before even beginning the writing! It will also help me create a better user experience by designing information in a way that pertains to the user. #engl318mu
Audience relates to the users that interact with and experience content, which should be highly considered when writing and creating content. #engl318mu
When I’m writing, first I think about the subject matter I’m writing about as well as the audience I’m writing for. Then, I outline what I’m going to write and decide on key points. Then the actual writing takes place, followed by editing at the end! #engl318mu
Be intentional with the people close to you. The words, the texts, the calls...it goes a long way. The best people I know are intentional with the small things & don’t make excuses.
@Zander51486625 I think graphics or images would help to spread out the text. Another option would be to make the spacing a little larger as well as your headings! You could also make the headings bold to make them stand out a bit more. #engl318mu
@alyssamancusoPR Honestly, it is a little confusing to me what the rankings mean. Although I have no context. I assumed they would correlate with the numbers, but they don’t. Maybe it would be beneficial for you to put a small box to the side with a “key” that shows what they mean! #engl318mu
@hrkauff1 I think this is a great way to prepare your reader for what they should be thinking about throughout the analysis! Maybe you could add a background color to the page to brighten it up! #engl318mu
@TTihansky Maybe you could add a contrasting color to the background and make the square white or another simple color? It might make it look more “full.” #engl318mu
@AguaKatze@npfannen Addressing how they come up with their message is a good idea. I think that giving some options of messages from other successful fitness accounts would be beneficial as well! #engl318mu
@WebWriterJim1 I would say if you aren’t going to add any images/graphics, maybe think about changing the font styles of the headings, to make them stand out more. Also, I like your idea about varying the shades of grey. #engl318mu
@WebWriterJim1 I agree with darkening the background! You could also try different font styles to see if any stand out more than others. Great job!😊 #engl318mu
I forgot to share this on Thursday, but this is my 2nd favorite snack food to stay motivated while doing school work!! This flavor is the BEST. #engl318mu#drpgame
