@knrd_z It is a shame, but I think you're right. It angers me to no end, really. If DOGE had delivered on its promises, I imagine we could have reported these sorts of incidents on a case by case basis. Oh well.
@MattLinde5 I am convinced that 90% of "Right-Wing Twitter" users are Indian bots while the other 10% are closeted homosexuals who the Indian bots feed with advertisement revenue.
IQ doesn't correlate that much with memory. Working memory is a constraint on pattern recognition. Nietzsche says your capacity for forgetting is an indicator of one's health, intelligence, and physical vitality. High IQ people quickly forget the past.
I hold four careers in four different fields simultaneously. I'm always available to my Brethren.
One of my careers is in a research lab. My Professor, who runs the lab, is an internationally respected quantum chemist. He calls us on the phone while he's driving. He makes time.
Whenever I make meat, I give a cut to my cats because they love bloody flesh. Their coats are nicer for it, and they are demonstrably happier.
In a single word: "Wrong."
@minordissent People give furniture like the one on the left. If you can rent a truck and sled for a day, and have a good friend or two, you can line your entire estate with antique furniture for cheaper than particle board crap.
@morgan88877 My mother had three miscarriages before I was born. She prayed for a son. The day I was born, a hydrangea bush bloomed blue for the first time since my parents moved into their house, five years prior.
@FischerKing64 Agreed. Even today, you can still get a lot out of college if you take the opportunities made available to you. It certainly opens doors, but most are either too cowardly, too lazy, or too stupid to go through them.
@throwawaytras@BornInTheU43614@TheLaurenChen Your logic implies that the people being subsidized are the people paying for the subsidization. It simply doesn't track. That is my point, which you still have not addressed.
@throwawaytras@BornInTheU43614@TheLaurenChen My question isn't "can we lower taxes," my question is how you reconcile those two statements that you made. How is that the tax payers are the ones with students loans, who need to be bailed out by the tax payers. Hence I ask rhetorically, "Why not just lower their taxes?"
