Since Clinton, the main constraint on ambitious Dem healthcare and climate policy hasn't been presidential unwillingness, but a lack of votes in the US Senate.

Lefties should therefore rate more highly people who are able to win by a large enough margin to deliver seats, and less having someone who specifically says the right buzzwords.
