A reminder that multiple academic studies - as well as international comparisons - show 100s of 1000s of Americans died from COVID who didn’t need to die had Trump taken it seriously from the beginning and been a minimally more competent president.

All the noise now about Fauci and lab leaks is a distraction from that one simple undeniable fact.

And Democrats who moved on from the pandemic, and holding Trump accountable for all those early deaths in 2020, left a vacuum which RFK and Rand Paul and the rightwing grift machine happily filled with character assassinations, conspiracy theories, and pro-Trump deflection.
