Some take aways from spending a few days in Calgary at Invest Canada

- Emerging managers have it tough here. First funds are $5-$10M and not much institutional capital available. People surprised at the size of our eventual first close.
- Only met a handful of founders - super sharp, bold ideas. Need to come back and spend more time here for sure. Didn't have a chance to visit @831Calgary but many people talking about it.
- Mood at the CVCA conference was generally upbeat despite all the doom & gloom in the numbers lately.

A month(?) ago @evansammccann said someone should start a @socraticainfo node in Calgary.

@C2Samantha stepped up to the plate and now every weekend at @831Calgary is stacked.
