@tufty_club Absolute shambles.
I, as one of your many international listerers, set an alarm for 3.30am to secure my place in the draw…Only to be given New Zealand.
Serves me right for listening!!
Up The All Whites! 🇳🇿
@reformparty_uk Bringing up private schools?!
Couldn’t make it up!!
Unlike Nigel Farage, who attended Dulwich College, a prestigious and fee-paying private boarding school in south London, Andy Burnham attended a state school in Newton-le-Willows (less than 10 miles from Makerfield)

@whorememberspod In 1994, to mark the 20th anniversary of the murders, CrimeWatch released a fresh appeal to find Lord Lucan. Alas, to no avail.
With this, and ‘The Nordic Viking Centre’ mistake, I am beginning to doubt your credentials as professional rememberers.
@TortosaExpat Exactly. You doubt…but you don’t know.
He has ran multiple marathons including the Boston Marathon in 2019 to raise funds for the charities set up in the wake of the 2017 Manchester Arena attack.
Was that photo opp too?
We have the 3rd or 4th highest wage bill?
Since he was appointed, we have lost >40% of games.
If the league started when Wilder was appointed we would be 9th.
When was the last good performance?
QPR away? Ipswich at home?
That’s 2 games since January.
We’ve picked up 3 points from last 15 with a favourable run of fixtures.
Compounded by similar clubs (Norwich, Middlesbrough, Southampton) all seeing a noticeable improvement after managerial changes.
Wilder came in after 5 games has been significantly backed with transfers / loans and we are 17th, 10 points above relegation.
As you will know, we were 16th when Heckingbottom was appointed after 19 (!) games. His only January signing was Adam Davies. We finished 5th & were unlucky not to beat Forest in the play-offs.
Again, not for a second suggesting Wilder should be sacked.
We were an utter shambles when we came in and in some ways he is a victim of his own success (ie anything less than 92 points would be a regression).
Yet, simply avoiding relegation shouldn’t be deemed a ‘success’. Wilder said as much when he took over in September.
I’m a self confessed “Wilder Shagger”.
Sacking him in the summer was ludicrous.
However, in no way can 15 losses from 36 league games (and a cup exit to Mansfield) be deemed ‘a successful stint’.
Credit in the bank? Yes
Right man for the job? Possibly.
However, if we suffer a poor start to next season (5-8 games / first international break) and it could, and probably should, be his last hurrah.
Let’s not forget, the back end of last season was pretty woeful too.
@TortosaExpat@gageykev Often hear he was a “pain” - what does that mean? Appreciate that when we wasn’t playing he probably thought he should have been…but was he really that bad for the dressing room? Captain, played his part for 2 promotions, player of the year when we were relegated (very low bar).
@tufty_club The premise players (“professional athletes”) can’t last 90 minutes because Wilder didn’t get a pre-season is farcical. What about when players pick up injuries throughout the season? Should they be allowed 4 weeks to run up Margery Hill wearing bin-bags?
