If perfection was a turkey this was it, this turkey by the way was a 9kg bird and still under your instructions. A little longer but whopper.
Every year I watch hundreds of turkeys die in vain with so called 'celeb' chefs showing you how to cook it! There is a reason you always eat dry turkey every year because what they are telling you is a load of shite. This 20 minute per pound plus 20 minutes after rule is nonsense.
Based on that, a 16lb bird would take almost 6 hours to cook, yet I always cook a 20lb turkey every year in about 3 and a half hours using my totally unique and simple method (I use the full bottle of wine for a 20lb bird (minus the mouthful!!)
