Finding a fawn alone doesn’t always mean it has been abandoned.
In fact, mother deer often leave their fawns hidden while they forage nearby. The fawn stays perfectly still, relying on its camouflage to remain safe until its mother returns.
THIS FISH SHOOTS INSECTS OUT OF THE AIR WITH WATER
The Archerfish has perfected one of the most precise hunting methods in nature.
It compresses water with its gills and fires a powerful jet from its mouth, knocking insects off branches above the surface.
Even more impressive, it automatically corrects for the way light bends between water and air — allowing it to hit targets with remarkable accuracy from several body lengths away.
A living sharpshooter beneath the surface.
Three years ago, our son Henry rescued twin goats from a livestock auction facility. They had just been born and were dying from hypothermia. Henry made a quick decision and brought them home.
Devastatingly, one did not survive-but by the grace of God, we were able to save Francis.
Our four livestock guardian dogs, Marv, Mosey, Akela, and Twomey took Francis in and raised him as their own.
Each of them shares a special connection with Francis but he and Twomey have a deep bond. When Francis was a baby, he was drawn to Twomey’s gentle demeanor and preferred to stay right by his side.
It’s truly been one of the greatest blessings to watch our dogs raise Francis and to witness the deep, genuine love they have for one another. It’s a powerful reminder of God’s love and the beauty of His creation.
