@paradiddletap I’m not saying it’s NOT a competitive activity I’m just saying it’s funny how one corps designs such a bland show compared to 11 other corps that can make way more exciting and interesting shows within the same parameters.

Ok so my thoughts on this year (a thread).

Overall one of the coolest years of DCI I’ve watched (jealous of everyone that got to see at least one show live in person this year)

I’ll try and summarize my thoughts for each corp in one tweet.

I had an inkling when I saw them early season that they couldn’t make tab 12 it really just depended on how good the Crossmen and BK shows were. It was definitely an enjoyable show and well deserving.

Imo I think the blue devils designers have stopped trying to make fun shows that entertain the crowd and instead just design shows that win championships. I get it but let’s be real people don’t remember shows that win if it doesn’t make them feel something.

Meh.

In all honesty it was a great performance and executed really well but it was no ghostlight or felliniesque. The show didn’t speak to me all and based on the reaction of the crown many felt the same way.

Man this year was dope lot of really great shows and some shows that were 7-12 that I liked better than the top 6 lol lots of thoughts but I’ll compose them after my kid goes to bed
