$SEA is coming.
Here are a few things to know:
• Historical OpenSea usage, not just recent activity, will be an important ingredient
• Claim process will be simple and accessible. US users welcome
• We’re focused on long-term sustainability and supporting a healthy, enduring community
• No details on timing yet. We’re taking the learnings from this space and getting it right
As always, only trust updates from @openseafdn and @opensea
“Misbah is a lantern in the darkness, a beacon of hope and optimism, a declaration of determination. It is a celebration of what is good and hopeful in the world. An insistence on persistence, on doing the next right thing.” - @mwiederrecht
We’re excited to announce the kickoff of Art Blocks Studio, a project that has been in the works for over a year!
Studio is an artist collective living on Art Blocks Platform (formerly Sansa) that embraces an experimental, experiential model.
It allows:
🏠 A place within the AB umbrella for artists to self-publish projects on their own contracts outside a strict schedule.
🎨 Space for artists to experiment, connect with their collectors, grow their careers and audience, and gain mutual support.
🖼️ A casual, relaxed setting for collectors to explore, connect with artists, purchase, and showcase algorithmic art.
You’ll notice a lot of changes to Platform in the coming days and months, but for now, we hope you’ll enjoy seeing what our first Studio artists are publishing!
L2 stands for “Layer 2” and it’s basically another blockchain designed to run *on top* of Ethereum
L2s were designed as a direct response to the scaling issue — eth gas costs were getting so high and the max transactions per second were very limited that it wasn’t a very practical chain for most to use
The way they work are that each L2 blockchain rely on the underlying security of Ethereum to secure/validate their transactions, and in return pay a small fee to the Ethereum network in the process
A million people trying to transact on ETH Mainnet = $1000 gas fees
A million people trying to transact on ETH split across 1000 L2s = sub $0.01 gas fees
They’re not perfect but they’re getting better over time and the user experience is importantly getting a lot better too, being able to more quickly and seamlessly move between chains
Ethereum is an absolutely amazing piece of technology and I could not be more bullish on it / the future of it. I’m bullish on some other L1s and a multi chain future but I struggle to conceive of a world where Eth isn’t the holding significant market share forever
PD5 Update:
Mint is planned for tomorrow.
Please check the following link to see if the number of mints for you look correct: https://t.co/pFjJYA9wwq
If there are any issues, please raise a support ticket in our https://t.co/gKBS4Ie3c9
Please don’t waste our time with fake requests, we will be asking you to prove wallet ownership for every request.
If something is not as you expect we need to know by 10PM GMT after which the list will be final.
Mint is still planned for tomorrow, will communicate timings soon but AL mint will be open for 24H.
Cheers.
Funding looking overheated again this morning.
Feels like the constant pattern here is:
1. Big move up
2. People FOMO on leverage
3. People get wiped out
4. Big move up
Rinse and repeat.
Update on PD5 -
Mint will be taking place a week later than originally planned, on Monday 18th March.
We require variable mint limits per wallet which is not built into the @MagicEden smart contract, so they are making the modifications next week.
Sorry for the delay!
Study @binance launchpad coins
MM absorbs airdrop supply
Then starts bidding when sellers are done
Then up 2-3x as FOMO ensues
Sophisticated players who realise this game only make the outcome more inevitable
For me this is the biggest risk for alts right now, including ETH -- a rejection of spot ETH ETF application.
I think market is probably pricing in a 60/40 probability of approval or less, I actually haven't seen a single person overly bullish on it happening.
Despite that, think we would still go lower on a rejection.
Current plan for PD5:
1. Public allowlist raffle just ended. Ecosystem allowlist raffle ends 12PM EST today.
2. Snapshots for guaranteed mints will be at 12PM EST today - note Magic Eden does NOT support delegate at the moment so please try to have your assets in wallets you're happy to mint from for the snapshot, you can move them right back after.
3. I will finalise the allowlist and send to @MagicEden, you will then be able to go on their website and check your mints.
4. Any issues, you will need to raise a support ticket in our Discord. Please don't waste our time with fake claims, we check everything and @sasha_nft
will curse your bags and you will get bad luck in crypto forever.
5. Allowlist mint will be at 12PM EST on Monday 11th March, and run for 24H - it won't be over-allocated.
6. Anything left will go to public mint the next day
7. Art reveal after public mint.
As with all of my artwork, please don't expect any utility or rewards etc. If you ask for utility you will be cursed with bad luck in crypto for the next 5 years.
Above plans are subject to change.
Please pray for cheap gas.

Been up for 5 minutes but here's my understanding:
- A malicious ledger connectkit package was published to npm by a compromised privileged account.
- this package gets hotloaded so it was immediately in use by most dapps that use connectkit (most dapps)
- it has since been patched so dapps should now behave as normal.
To be clear: your ledger device is not compromised, though your trust in ledger may be.
If you want to stay safe, touch grass for a few more hours.
