🚨 A new ETF just filed that’s a pure bet on the photonics buildout: $LYTE
📈Roundhill - Same ETF shop that ran $DRAM to $1B AUM at fastest clip. Now- Photonics & Optics ETF. Holdings not disclosed yet.
But the prospectus tells you exactly what’s getting in — if you read the fine print, let me break it down for you🧵
Here’s the part that matters : there’s one hard rule in the filing:
⛔️A company needs ≥50% of revenue from photonics/optics to qualify.
That single number tells you who’s in and who’s out. 👇
✅ CLEARS the 50% bar (the pure-plays):
$LITE — optical transceivers, 1060nm VCSELs
$COHR — lasers + optical components
$AAOI — datacenter optics
$POET — silicon photonics interposer
$IPGP — industrial fiber lasers
$CIEN — optical interconnect systems
$CRDO — AI interconnect
$SIVEF — InP lasers & Optic components
These are the core of the fund.
The sleeper angle nobody’s talking about: 🇨🇳
The prospectus explicitly builds in Chinese exposure — China A-Shares + VIE structures.
It says outright: the fund “invests significantly in the securities of Asian issuers.”
A US-listed photonics ETF with deliberate mainland exposure. Unusual.
Why that matters??
Some of the most aggressive optical-component scaling is happening in Asia.
$LYTE isn’t ignoring it — it’s writing A-shares into the strategy doc.
That’s a geographic edge most US investors won’t have on day one
Bottom line:
$LYTE = the first pure-play photonics ETF
↳ 50% revenue screen = real pure-plays only
↳ Pure-plays in, conglomerates out
↳ Built-in Asia/China exposure 👇
@YoYInvestor Biggest issue with $ONDS is frequent dilution and upcoming 800 million to 1.2 billion share count increase to fund acquisitions and scale its autonomous systems platform.
$SOXL is up 1500% since CHATGPT started in 2022.
1 month ago, $DRAM (memory ETF) launched and its up 100% (this one you're super early).
Here's the easiest way to 10x-20x since there's 10 super ETFs in AI:
1. $CHPX → AI semiconductors and quantum chips powering the next generation of compute.
Now: ~$90 | 5-year target: ~$500
2. $AIQ → Broad AI and big data exposure including the memory chipmakers most funds ignore.
Now: ~$62 | 5-year target: ~$720
3. $BOTZ → Robotics and automation bringing AI into the physical world.
Now: ~$42 | 5-year target: ~$120
4. $SOXL → 3x leveraged semiconductors for those with high conviction on the chip supercycle.
Now: ~$177 | 5-year target: ~$1200
5. $DRAM → Pure-play memory chips, the critical bottleneck for AI training and inference.
Now: ~$53 | 5-year target: ~$700
6. $DTCR → Data center REITs collecting rent from hyperscalers spending $350B on AI build-out.
Now: ~$30 | 5-year target: ~$150
7. $AIPO → AI power infrastructure. Grid upgrades, energy generation, and data center operations.
Now: ~$33 | 5-year target: ~$250
8. $GRID → Smart grid modernization. The global power network being rewired for AI demand.
Now: ~$200 | 5-year target: ~$800
9. $PAVE → Physical construction. The contractors, materials, and equipment building it all.
Now: ~$58 | 5-year target: ~$150
10. $AIS → Full AI supply chain mapped from the ground up using a Bill of Materials approach.
Now: ~$64 | 5-year target: ~$180
11. $TCAI → Hard AI infrastructure. Compute, power, networking, and contracted cash flows.
Now: ~$49 | 5-year target: ~$300
12. $CHAT → Generative AI pure-play actively rotating into the companies winning the software layer.
Now: ~$87 | 5-year target: ~$320
Listen carefully, pick 3-4 you like then buy and hold. My favorite one is $DRAM and $SOXL. You're still super early because AI will last about 12-15 years.

Most people still don’t understand Photonics like they understand Memory & GPUs/CPUs.
Think how much upside is still left. 😉
Stocks like $SIVE, $AAOI, $TSEM, $AXTI, $AEHR, $IQE, $SOI are yet to be uncovered by many.
We are in the early 2022-23 NVIDIA moment for Photonics, surely.
That’s why I am holding some of these stocks until 2028-29.

Remember, these have 2000%–5000% potential just like OKLO. When it ran from $7 to $170. My favorite is IONQ first public quantum company to exceed $100M in annual revenue, guiding $225–$245M for 2026, with $3.3B in cash and zero debt. It's operating at a fundamentally different scale than the others, which is why it's already broken above $40.
