Nope, most of SR admit this but back then the resource lowkey kinda limited, rn you literally have all the resource, you have Discord, YouTube tutorial, artbook of game or movie, so even if the bar was risen, you have everything you need to survive
I posted this on Instagram yesterday and got flooded with comments of relief that this gag in The Devil Wears Prada 2 was created by an actual human (me), so I figured I’d also post it here because I think these companies should get their flowers when they hire an artist.
To summarize this BS. Jeryce is a very well known 3D Artist who has worked on HUGE games. He also has a passion for researching & creating African artwork. He was even headhunted for the Black Panther game because of his deep knowledge. Netease copied & ripped off a ton of his personal artwork for Marvel Rivals, and when he said "ok at least credit me" they ghosted him.
Just heard Drew Struzan passed away 😞 His incredible work has given me and countless others so much awe, joy and inspiration!
I had posters of his work as a teen, I began using color pencils because I thought he used them too. Always inspired by him.
RIP Drew Struzan.
@henningsanden Indeed, if their product worked as well as claimed why wouldn’t these companies use their first-mover advantage to make collosal profits for themselves first?
Why aren’t they cutting their own developer headcount by an order of magnitude internally because of “agents”?
I love how Jonny Greenwood’s score runs underneath the entire Bakton Cross escape in #OneBattleAfterAnother. It sharpens the intensity & increases the pace. That score is a big reason why the film feels like a breeze at almost 3 hours.
I asked Paul Thomas Anderson about these scenes and specifically the way he used Greenwood’s score. He said he had the music on set and would insert it into dailies so the actors could watch back the scenes with the music underneath it. I thought that was a cool detail.
Fully CG football intro for the Weslaco Panthers —

Grateful for the opportunity, proud of the result.

@YoriVisuals Wait it out or noodle on simpler projects. Look for inspiration and enjoyment elsewhere for a while, especially if you’re also working a lot.
One of the best cg anims I've seen in a while. Look at these cloud shadows, layers of detail, the scope of the whole thing. Not to mention the color. 🤯
A few days ago I asked the community to share the most realistic Blender projects they had seen.
The answers were incredible and full of inspiration 🤯
Here is a selection that really stood out. Scroll down and enjoy the thread 👇
