How very British 😂
“The train carrying Andy Burnham arriving into Euston now. It's about 19 minutes late, so that technically would allow Mr Burnham to do Delay Repay.”

I love Ahmedabad for its Khaman at Das Khaman. I love the mutton samosas at Bera. The dal gosht at New Irani Cafe is heavenly, as i sop it up with bun maska. Superb chai at Lucky tea stall. Sometimes, I even splurge on the Gujarati Thali at Agashiye in the House of MG. I always carry back some Lachko Mohanthal from the airport outlet of Kandoi Bhogilal Mulchand Sweets. Point is, the term "na khaunga, na khaane dunga" is not easy to follow in Ahmedabad, the city of delicious eats. Our officials should indulge in these delicacies, and not eat money as bribes. Food for thought. Shubh raatri.
When will this happen in corporate India? I worked in corporate 5 years ago, and till then an openly right wing modi supporter would be seen as a nutjob.
Madam, I was the sitting MP of Aurangabad. INDIA alliance with 3 parties coming together secured 2,93,450 votes.
I secured 3,41,480 votes. Using this dumb logic of yours, you have technically been my vote cutter.
I would have happily campaigned for the INDIA alliance if you did justice with the Muslims of Maharashtra. You could've given 1 ticket to a Muslim.
I guess it’s not a commercial issue rather a regulation issue. You don’t require billT/e-way bill to transfer goods by hand cart/ Animal cart. Almost all of these shop owners in SoBo can afford a hydraulic wheeled loader but just to avoid eway bill they use these carts.
A retired colleague, Commodore Mike Bhada, sent me a thoughtful suggestion after seeing these hardworking hand cart operators while on his daily commute through central Mumbai:
“I was wondering if there was some way of easing this burden by retrofitting an inexpensive battery-operated motor, just enough to give traction to the wheels. The hand-cart operator would then just have to steer/guide it and not push/pull the cart. I fully appreciate the ramifications of this exercise from the technical as well as the operational & institutional aspects but imagine the relief we will render to this segment of our labor force.”
It is ironic that even as we sent crafts to the moon & develop sophisticated EVs for our expressways, that these manual carts are still necessary to negotiate the narrow alleys & by-lanes of our teeming cities.
Mike, compliments on your empathy.
I suspect that motorising these would not be a commercial initiative, but if students at our technical institutes develop a compact and inexpensive device to make the lives of these workers easier, then corporates could disseminate these through CSR.
Any other ideas?
This is not a tweet I'd like to write, but I'm asking for help.
Om Arvind's family has contacted me asking if I have heard from him as he has gone missing for one week now. I have tried contacting him through various channels and have heard nothing. His family have asked if I can broadcast this in hopes that someone online has heard from him. I know that Om has a lot of friends on this app, especially in the football tactics world. If any of you have seen him / talked to him, please reach out and amplify this.
Simple, govt buys few MLAs with the tax money and then MLAs buys a new Fortuner with that money. Govt gets its money back to buy MLAs in another state, cycle repeats. Looks like a very successful ponzi scheme
