But the point stands that the eye test didn’t lie when they were side-by-side. Dirk wasn’t even in his prime yet. “Metrically” everyone was better until it was time to be better.

That’s why you take Curry all day over guys like Westbrook who is a better passer, rebounder, defender, but not a better player.

@Jacobtheclipper You don’t know ball. Mavs primarily slowed them down because they ran an elite zone defense. If they weren’t running zone they were at least cheating toward LeBron. Both were illegal D in Jordan’s day. Being guarded by a team is much more difficult than any one-on-one defense.

Also wrong, Mavs were rarely blown out, they had the most clutch games in the NBA. 🙄

@Taysh83 @KendrickPerkins It is, but the only narrative that pushed Kon is that he was contributing to winning more, despite the obv stats/eye test, justifying poor games with that narrative. Yesterday proved that the narrative never made sense. Hornets are good even without Kon. Coop had a better season.
