The Iraqi parliament’s passage of the anti-LGBT law rubber-stamps Iraq's appalling record of rights violations against LGBT people, adding insult to injury for Iraqi LGBT people already facing cyclical violence and threats to their lives by armed groups.

Palestinian families displaced to the Egyptian border in Rafah live in a dire situation, uncertain if tomorrow will come but certain of what Israel will do to them as the world turns a blind eye.
Footages exclusive to @thenewregion from Rafah, Palestine
Sadyl, it is unsurprising that generationally militarized nations who have (barely) survived decades of conflict, and are ripped from the right of self-determination, won't prioritize socio-economic rights. People still have a "survive" mentality, not a "develop" mentality!
Rights for people living in KRI mostly revolve around basic socio-economic ones. People who haven't received salaries for months, and months before, are socially criticized for demonstrating. If your society won't support when you demand basic rights, who would?
I didn't see a single parent worrying about their children's education while teachers are boycotting schools. Why aren't parents on the streets asking for well-deserved pay for teachers so their children could go back to school?
Kurdistan Regional Government built four walls in outskirts of Erbil, violently collected stray dogs through beating and dragging legs and tails, put them in this torture house without medical care, food, or any sort of regulations, and calls it an animal "shelter"
@AazSky That is your story, not mine! I don't have to live up to it:) Your advocacy is language, mine doesn't have to be. What I want to get out there, specifically in this post, is about those suffering dogs :) your irrelevant comments are about 20 other things, so take them elsewhere.
@AazSky there is no first and second when caring about living beings. I bet they didn't teach you that in your Msc politics ;). A State that claims development, and announces government-owned projects, have obligations to fulfill them, not to only blind the publics eye with them.
It's becoming a free fun watch for sick people who enjoy dog fights, people just go watch over the walls to see thousands of hungry dogs fight each other. Imagine if only one of these dogs have rabies... of course, no one thought that through.
200+ #Turkish airstrikes in NE #Syria disproportionally impact religious & ethnic minorities with even #Syriac-#Assyrian Khabur Valley included.
Erdogan complains Gaza is without water, electricity, hurting schools & hospitals. Yet he targets water, electricity, schools & hospitals in NE Syria. Where is the US & intl outrage?
Our continued prayers and thoughts are with the victims and families of the over 100 dead and 150 injured due to the wedding tragedy in Northern Iraq. The dead and injured come from the #Syriac#Catholic community of #Qaraqosh, #Iraq.🙏🏼 https://t.co/bfUmvRwFyU
🚨#UPDATE: Journalist Guhdar Zebari has been on hunger strike for 6 days while detained by security forces (the Asayish) in #Erbil despite the expiry of his prison sentence on 16 August. On 23 August, he was informed of spurious new charges against him.
