I think the reason why the church is so attracted to the self-help, motivational, inspirational type of preaching

is because it just can’t accept the fact that

God does things solely for His glory, whether you like it or not.

Love does not mean tolerance
Intolerance does not mean hatred.

I love my sons but when they misbehave it will not be tolerated.

That doesn’t diminish my love, not one bit.

Likewise, The Church should not apologize for not tolerating sin.

Many who share the gospel are more offensive than the gospel itself.

I fear that unbelievers reject the offensive Christian long before they even have the chance to hear the offensive gospel.

May the offensive gospel be preached by courteous and loving heralds of Christ.

Marraige is first and foremost a sacred covenant before it is a civil right.

Use clear and plain passages to interpret the less clear passages.

Don’t make a whole theology from an obscure verse. The Bible should be interpreted in light of all it has to say.

Now adays you can’t rebuke a false teacher without being branded a pharisee.

Every Lord’s day these three must happen:

1) Sinners evangelized
2) Church edified
3) God glorified

All these take place when the gospel is preached boldly and faithfully.
