@Budget If we had waited, would have spent add'l $1,415+ on hotel, meals, plane fare for friends with tckts 2 fly fr. AUS - JFK on 5/31.

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]

@Budget "Best they could do" when truck was unusable & had no replacement for 66 hours after incident, told "wait 2 hours for new truck."

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]

After my #budgettirefiasco @Budget #budgettrucks offd. $350 off total. I said unacceptable; now offered $433 off. "Best they could do."

We're safe in Pflugerville, but hoping everyone else in TX stays safe too! #texasflood

Hey @NHTSAgov Any suggestions about my #budgettirefiasco?

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]

@mitziszereto Good question. Report will have to wait until Tue when rusted gears of corp and local govt machinery begin moving again.

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]

@mitziszereto You are a true road warrior! I am a mere dilettante by comparison. Good luck and be safe.

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]

@fussballsusie @SBN_BillC "This" is bullshit.

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]

@fussballsusie Rawr. ;-)

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]

@mitziszereto Double oy. And I thought 1700 was bad. NY -> Austin. Where are you & where are you going?

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]

@mitziszereto @Budget Outright negligence: corroded metal on nuts/bolts on tire: it took a blow torch to get it off. #budgettirefiasco

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]

@CountBillStein @Budget Yes, we tried that route and were told nothing could be done for us until Tues., which was completely unacceptable.

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]

@Ghosthunter6160 at least @UHaul came through for us! Very happy with their customer service, truck, and easy to use website. So helpful.

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]

@mitziszereto congrats! Hope your move goes more smoothly than ours!

[ProfPop @98Xrelis]
