“In the next 10 years we are going to be entering what I feel like is a new renaissance.”
Nobel Prize laureate Demis Hassabis was awarded the Nobel Prize for using AI to predict the structure of proteins. For him, AI is a tool that will help scientists make even more discoveries in the years to come.
Hassabis took part in our Nobel Prize Dialogue ‘The Future of Science With AI’ which discussed how AI might transform science in the future.

For every lazy hater saying AI is useless and over-hyped there is a real person making their life tangibly better using AI… choose your team.
Be the broccoli farmer.
We believe AI can be a dedicated research partner to help discover the next breakthrough.
Enter Co-Scientist: our latest Gemini-based multi-agent system that can generate, debate and evolve novel hypotheses for complex scientific problems 🧵
Imagine… it’s December, 2027.
AI-generated gaming is here. Every worldbuilder’s universe is explorable in VR. Living environments you can walk through, shape, and experience.
Whose world are you entering first? Or what game/world would you create?
@cfryant It happens to me so often that I have become completely used to it and can remain calm. If you don't panic while it's happening and are aware that what you are seeing/feeling is just in your head, it can actually be kind of interesting and enjoyable.
Hey all! We will be launching Secret of the Mimic PCVR via Steam tomorrow at 9am PDT! We are in the last stretch of testing the PlayStation VR2 patch that will make the two platforms have parity. The goal is to launch both the PCVR update and the PS VR2 patch on the same day. Thanks for everyone’s patience!
Demis Hassabis talks about how Gemini is helping science move towards a golden age of medicine, so that we will soon be able to cure all diseases. I have goosebumps; I couldn't be more excited.
You can’t lift a fridge with just your hands. Your whole body needs to conform to its shape, and bear the load between your arms and torso.
Here, @BostonDynamics' Atlas uses proprioception to manage the whole-body interaction and adapt to a shifting 100+ lb load. Enabling this type of high performance manipulation is exactly why we walked away from what was arguably the world’s best implementation of MPC for humanoids, and shifted entirely to RL without looking back.
This level of whole-body controls is a fundamental building block of physical intelligence and key to the value proposition of humanoids.

Hey all! To continue our commitment to provide more communication to the community, we wanted to give an update on the Secret of the Mimic PC VR launch. Here’s the plan as of today, barring any pesky 1’s or 0’s acting up out of nowhere!
PC VR is currently planned for the middle of next week. We’re finalizing a patch for a pesky issue related to SteamVR framerate overrides, and our QA team is currently confirming the fix.
For a little inside info: whenever we have a new build to test, our internal QA team has to run a full test sweep, which takes days. We don’t just test the things that were patched, we also make sure we didn’t accidentally introduce some new wonkiness elsewhere.
For this title, testing is a little extra spicy because we functionally have two different versions of the game: Flat Mode and VR. That means QA has to test both independently.
Once PC VR launches, we’re planning to release the PlayStation VR2 patch as soon as possible so we can maintain parity between both platforms.
Thanks for the patience!
