2009 BITCOIN MINER WAKES UP AFTER 10 YEARS - STARTS SENDING BTC TO KRAKEN…
- As flagged by @ArkhamIntel, one of the very earliest #Bitcoin miners has woken up and started sending $BTC to major crypto exchange @Krakenfx.
- Per Arkham, the whale mined its Bitcoin back in 2009 in the first two months of the blockchain’s existence.
- The whale holds a whopping $77 million worth of the world’s largest cryptocurrency - 1,215 $BTC.
- … and it just sent 5 $BTC to Kraken.
- Arkham’s post flags that, after moving assets around between 2011 and 2014, the Bitcoin was then left untouched for nearly 10 years.
“during which it increased in value from $474K to over $80M”
- The post also reminds us of another Bitcoin whale that also mined Bitcoin in the network’s earliest months, only to transfer as much as $16 million worth of Bitcoin last week.
