In the past 1 year, I've learnt more about my work life. Strengths, interests & weaknesses.
Hence, my advice to young professionals.
Don't try to figure it out all at once, allow yourself to take gradual steps, learn & grow.
However, it's OK to leap if an opportunity comes!
Thank you so much @9to5chick and your awesome community of 9toChicks for engaging on this #9to5chickChat . It's been amazing, and I hope everyone learnt as much as I shared !
Lastly, always keep your finger on the pulse with your industry and its opportunities for personal development, and follow and engage with peers that you admire and/or aspire to be. The internet is a great gift!

I could and would never underestimate the importance of peer mentorship, or anything that is untraditional, there is always shared value when people who share common goals and value meet and exchange pearls of wisdom and opportunities.

Exactly. Let your mentor/sponsor see and know what you have done with previous advice or opportunities. It cements the image of an ambitious professional who won’t waste their efforts/credibility #9to5chickChat

Keep a pulse on your career ambitions and plans and communicate this with your mentors, advisors or coaches. The lovely thing about these kinds of relationships is that they don’t require daily, weekly or even monthly check-ins ... (1/2)
