@unity Looking at the timeline, fee per install makes most games a loss temporally. Sales will dwindle but people will continue to install. Revenue ends but you'll keep taking additional cuts forever. This is unacceptable. #Unity #unityruntimefee #UnityEngine

@Sven_Viking @FalconeerDev I think the theory is that providing access to the game as a service makes it publishing or distributing "on behalf of" you, since you aren't selling the game to the end user. I would definitely agree it is not at all precise or clear, though.

@unity Put a % of revenue cap on your total fees at the very least. Even if you capped it at an outrageous 99% you'd prevent high install ratio games from paying more than they make.

By your Unity Pro version, with 1% conversion by the time I reach the threshold I'll make 1 million, and owe 2 million.

This is not a good thing. I'm trying to digest fairly, but it's on the heels of a lot of bad decisions.
