I never understood why we banned the one somewhat responsible American vape company, JUUL from having any flavors, fined them $3B, and then let even stronger mystery vapes from china flood every shop in America.
@_WellBeloved@AstroRebirth314@Math_files those guys are the exception. vast majority of people getting bad grades are getting those grades cuz they’re kinda stupid. school isn’t hard at all…you just have to take 30 mins to do your homework the period before lmfao
@PeterPlayzGame1@acemmett91@WomenAreFedUp@BNONews yes you’re right but everyone in the current administration & their supporters has the cognition of a 12 year old. they think it’s cool & edgy & a show of force, but it’s really useless. sigh.
@17Doomer@ReadDoofus@saintgirlie you have no understanding of the psychological impacts of a traumatic event + the effects of a hypnotic like ketamine.
this case is simply beyond your walnut brain’s computing power, as shown by how reductive you are.
One thing about the Cornell case I have not seen discussed much is that she would still have been high when she got back to her room and anything she said inside the first 24hrs to three days would have been under the lingering neurological impact of a powerful tranquilizer whose effects are magnified by alcohol and which is known to cause memory loss, euphoria, and a lack of access to the normal range of emotions and intellectual capacities, along with an inability to feel pain. Someone assaulted under the influence of ketamine might seem unbothered during or immediately afterwards because they are functionally anesthetized and in a state of drug-induced dissociation from their surroundings and body. When I was in college, a lab I worked in one summer used ketamine on rats so it could bleed them from their tails by cutting the tips off. Once you've seen ketamine used for its intended purpose as an animal tranquilizer/anesthetic you know you could literally cut someone open with a knife on that stuff, if they were given a high enough dose, and they would not cry out. Indeed, in 2025, ketamine was FDA approved for use in human surgery. Studies of recreational ketamine users show lingering impacts on memory for days after use, as well as an increase in schizotypal symptoms like flat affect and paranoia, such as fears that others are talking about you or plotting against you. It is not a simple disinhibition drug.
@paxDeFi@CurranSotomayor@TMZ a search would not yield much. not concerned with the <1% when over 90% of rapists never do time.
it’s a shame you breathe the same oxygen as the rest of us.
Cornell has been caught in a lie this morning. After previously asserting that they turned over all investigatory documents to the DA, NYT reporting reveals that they withheld the transcript of Jane Doe’s testimony and sent only the summary they produced, omitting key details and assertions. While Jane Doe did sign the statement, she is NOT an attorney and was not at all qualified to determine which legally relevant details to include or omit. That is the job of a system that failed her at every turn. And to be clear, this does not absolve the DA. If he truly believed he received a police report about a totally consensual evening (which that six page summary was not) it was his job to investigate why this young woman made a police report in the first place. Instead, he went on cable news to malign her character and weaken her credibility. Disgusting on every front. https://t.co/wzQoH33A34
