Everyone and their Mom calls themselves “Creative Strategist”
-> less competition
Everyone believes AI is replacing us
-> less competition entering the marketplace
(Spoiler: AI increases demand for good writers bc we’re leveraged af)
3 automated emails most brands get wrong.
Every brand has its welcome series dialed. Cart abandonment is running. But there are a handful of emails that either aren't set up at all or are running a weaker version than they should be.
Here are three I consistently notice:
𝗧𝗵𝗲 "𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟯 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀" 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹
Most brands send this as a courtesy. Smart brands use it as an upsell trigger. "Your order ships Tuesday. Want to add anything before it goes out?" We've seen this email help drive a double-digit lift in subscription AOV across a few brands.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹
Someone returned a product. Most brands treat that customer as gone. But a well-timed email 48 hours after the return, showing them what other customers with similar orders ended up buying instead, brings more of them back than you'd think. They liked your brand enough to buy once. They just got the wrong thing.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 "𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝘁" 𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 (𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘁)
Standard browse abandonment says "hey, you looked at this, come back." That works fine. But a version that leads with social proof or a comparison angle converts higher. "412 people bought this last week" or "not sure which one? Here's how customers compare these two" gives them a reason to come back beyond the reminder.
Every one of these is quick to build, and most brands don't realize they should be sending them.
Hope this gives you a few easy ideas to test.
I went 5 days without writing. Thought I lost my copywriting skills. Opened my laptop, started typing and felt sharper than ever.

AI can generate copy that looks good on the surface, but it often speaks to machines, not people. If you want words that truly resonate with your audience, build trust, and drive action, you need a human touch.
