An observation: there's a reason we say "human machine teaming" ... not *machine* human teaming. What you say matters. #HRI#HAI#HMT#MUMT all have Humans first. @HFES@asu_gsi

I feel a debate about usability coming here. Green is clear for the professional electrician as "safe" so good usability... But the homeowner is confused which could be unsafe for them! How to solve??

@aaronzlewis Isn't there some Schelling point where a trail begins that then forms a path of least resistance? I'm not sure the animal paper makes sense if so...
"The curse of modernity is that we are increasingly populated by a class of people who are better at explaining than understanding, or better at explaining than doing." - @nntaleb

@DrPaulSalmon A follow on - was there ever? Things in the middle of that Venn diagram are pretty rare almost by definition. Also success to me is application and improvement; sometimes those efforts are none of the above and definitely are not being turned into journal articles.

false starts speak volumes, but written communication tends to obscure the whole search process
Congratulations to TAMU’s HFES faculty member, Dr. Tony McDonald for receiving the 2020 “Stephanie Binder Young Professional” Award from HFES Surface Transportation Technical Group!
