@elonmusk As a healthcare worker I can say that Trump's pledge to not tax overtime can save American hospital systems.

There is currently a huge shortage of healthcare workers. A tax freeze on overtime would incentivize existing employees to pick up overtime and costs hospitals nothing. Employee productivity would increase. The price gouging by locum tenens would end.

This is a genius idea. Have not heard this discussed anywhere. Please promote!

44 percent of our patients are electing to avoid opioids completely after C-section. Those that don't are using 70 percent less. Getting close to goal of a 90 percent reduction in opioids prescribed for home compared to 2016.

@Jen_the_Spidey @Surgeon_General Jen, the narrative here is that we all play an important part. Your anesthesiologists need to reduce exposure to opioids in the OR (and replace with non-opioid medications) in order for you to see less hyperalgesia in PACU.

@Jen_the_Spidey @Surgeon_General Think about this - at the Cleveland Clinic as we minimized or eliminated exposure to opioids in the operating room our PACU nurses all of a sudden were giving 40 percent LESS IV opioids in PACU due to less opioid induced hyperalgesia and better use of non-opioid medications.

FYI to all- sorry if you’ve had bad experiences. Flip side is that many people have bad experiences (short and long term) WITH opioids every day. I’m not against opioids for those that need it. But people should know that for many, pain relief is possible- even better- without!
