EVAN (formerly Heeseung) became famous as the Main Vocalist and Center of the hugely popular, chart-topping, record-breaking, history making group #ENHYPEN, one of the best-selling K-Pop Acts of the Era! Before going solo this year, he was dubbed ENHYPEN's "Ace" for his exceptional versatility and stage command and his incredible voice with a perfect pitch, reaching soaring high notes! He's also an amazing Dancer, given his precise, powerful choreography execution, but what truly made him stand out was his behind-the-scenes creativity! EVAN has what's called star power, and made a hugely successful debut as a Soloist on June 22, 2026, with the incredible digital single "RIDE OR DIE' and its indie-pop B-side “Overflow”. He took a leading role in writing, composing, producing, and visually directing both tracks. The single immediately hit #1 on Bugs and #5 on the Melon Hot 100 with the MV surpassing 10 million YouTube views in 44 hours, and topped iTunes in multiple countries! On September 7, 2026, he released his first mini-album 'DEATH OF ME' including 8 tracks, all written by him with nearly all composed and produced by him too! It sold a massive 461k copies on day one and became a half-million seller in 3 days on Hanteo, scoring one of the biggest debuts for a K-Pop Solo artist! It debuted at #49 on the Billboard 200, #2 on World Albums, and #7 on Top Album Sales! EVAN also hit #1 on Emerging Artists. The title track earned him his first solo music-show wins including The Show Choice and Show Champion! Evan gave a stunning performance at KCON LA 2026, his first major overseas solo stage, and at the Grammy Museum! EVAN was born in Uiwang, South Korea, and was the eldest member ENHYPEN! He trained for over 3 years at Big Hit Music, starting in December 2016, where he even practiced alongside future TXT members, before rising to prominence as a contestant on the 2020 survival show I-LAND! He ranked 5th in global votes with over 1.1 million, securing his debut spot with ENHYPEN on November 30, 2020, on their mini-album 'Border: Day One'. During I-LAND, his cover of BTS's "Fake Love" scored a perfect 93/100, the highest of the season, showcasing his vocal and interpretive skills early on. The group achieved the fastest Rookie of the Year win in K-pop history, just 12 days after debut, and became the quickest Korean act to surpass 1 Billion Spotify streams in just 571 days! Heeseung's production work on "Highway 1009" marked a creative breakthrough, earning acclaim for its emotional depth.

As part of ENHYPEN, EVAN (Heeseung) shared in the group’s many major Daesang wins including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year at the D Awards, ASEA, and MAMA, plus 20+ music show wins, Best Group, Best Tour, and Rookie awards and individually took the UPick Global Choice (Male) at the 2026 D Awards with over 1.4 billion votes! As a Soloist, EVAN, has already won The Show Choice and Show Champion for “Death of Me,” the inaugural Global-K Artist Award at the 2026 TIMA, and Best All-Rounder Musician at the 2026 K-World Dream Awards.

Heeseung's popularity soared in 2025, topping China's WeChat Idol Index for weeks, and going viral globally as a fashion and performance icon. ENHYPEN's world tours, Grammy Museum visits, and chart peaks owe much to Heeseung's central role in their "performance powerhouse" reputation.

EVAN has built a reputation for distinctive fashion sense and “star quality,” and has attracted high-profile brand deals. While many are group endorsements, he's also secured several notable individual and paired ambassadorships too. In 2021, Enhypen became house ambassadors for AMI Paris, a French casual-luxury brand, targeting Gen Z with chic, inclusive outfits. In March 2022, Heeseung became with Enhypen the face of Nike Air Max and Nike Manoa Leather Boots! In May, 2022 Enhypen was chosen for the 2022 Coke summer campaign for "Coke X Music.
In 2023 EVAN as part of ENHYPEN became a Global Ambassador for the Italian luxury brand Prada, his first major global fashion deal, causing a sensation at various Fashion events including Milan Fashion week as a group member! In 2024, he and Jay became Ambassadors for the Italian luxury jewelry brand Pomellato which aligns with his elegant style, appearing on a W Korea cover in 2025! He also served as ambassador for the colored contact lens brand Qrsessed (announced late 2025), which led to an ELLE Korea editorial and his first solo-era public appearance in a blond hair and black suit look at a Musinsa event. In 2025 Heeseung became the Ambassador for the Chinese makeup brand Joocyee, highlighting his massive popularity in China, where he's a top idol on platforms like WeChat! More recently EVAN attended and performed at the COS AW26 Collection re-see in Seoul, while his airport fashion and overall styling continue to draw massive media attention.

EVAN is very much into charity, inspiring fans to donate through charity initiatives tied to his birthdays and anniversaries. He has consistently been honored as CHOEAEDOL's "Charity Fairy" on his birthday since 2021, a title awarded to idols receiving over 55,555,555 daily votes in the app. Each win triggers a ₩500,000 (about $380 USD) donation to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean organization supporting people with physical and mental disabilities. EVAN's global projects include Earthquake relief via the Angat Buhay Foundation (Philippines) and donations to UNICEF towards children's future in Indonesia. EVAN's quiet lanimal-loving personality, often feeding strays, continues to motivate charity initiatives with donations to the NSN Foundation (animal rescue). In November 15, 2025 EVAN (Heeseung) took part in ENHYPEN’s group donation of 100 million KRW for Philippine flood recovery efforts! In 2026 he publicly shared for the first time that he survived childhood malignant lymphoma, an experience that has inspired numerous fan-organized birthday projects and drives in his name supporting cancer patients and related causes such as Hospital de Amor, Yayasan Pita Kuning, UNICEF, and local relief efforts.
