Building resilient futures starts with building capacity. GAGCDO is honored to have staffs participating in the “Resilient Futures: Young People, the Climate Crisis and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights” Training of Trainers, led by @UNFPA @UNFPAKen in collaboration with Queen Mary University of London.

The Resilient Futures module is the first standalone training designed to link climate change with health, gender, and sexual and reproductive rights. It equips trainers with the knowledge and tools to integrate this content into Comprehensive Sexuality Education and youth participation platforms _ ensuring knowledge translates into action at community level.

This initiative, led by local experts and elders, revitalized traditional conflict management systems while integrating innovative, youth-inclusive strategies. The goal? To bridge generational divides, strengthen collaboration, and create a shared framework for lasting peace

The Mandera Triangle has long faced instability due to resource conflicts, political marginalization, and climate shocks.
Yesterday, we officially launched our cross-border peace, cooperation, and dialogue initiative in the Mandera Triangle, uniting voices from Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia to reimagine a future built on trust, dialogue, and resilience.
Supported by @das_ifa’s @Zivikfunding with funds from @AuswaertigesAmt @GermanyDiplo @GermanyinKenya our initiative "Promoting Peace in the Borderlands of the Horn of Africa: Strengthening Local Peace Structures and Cross-Border Cooperation" will empowers communities to:
✅ Strengthen traditional peace mechanisms with modern approaches.
✅ Amplify women and youth voices in peacebuilding.
✅ Launch a digital peace network for real-time conflict monitoring.
✅ Develop climate-resilient action plans to reduce resource tensions.
