The medicine to fear is to bring down the walls.
It is finding ways to trust through deeper connection.
And most of what is feared is what others will think.
What is the biggest hurdle with innovation from your perspective?

Having a check in partner who knows you well and can tell you directly yet with kindness helps you walk through the journey of creating something with confidence.
What makes getting that kind of support a challenge?
To sell anything to one person, you must learn what the person you’re selling to needs and why.
What do you need to learn about your customer's emotional wants and needs in order to connect with them authentically?
It's healthy to dedicate 1-2 hours per week to think & check in on yourself.
But with the race of life, it can be hard to do that. We all need support to slow down to do new things.
What helps you with finding time to intentionally self-reflect?
Sometimes you want people to listen, to be a gut check that you're not crazy. It gives us a sense of peace. Feeling seen and heard is the healing power of empathy.
What do good listeners do that make you feel seen and heard?
We run full speed ahead. And sometimes, there's so much stress that our brains can become frantic. The secret to the Empathy Co-Creation™ process is the opposite of what we want to do. We slow down first.
What gets in the way of you slowing down?
I may spend the rest of my life overcoming perfectionistic tendencies. My instinct is to not make mistakes. When that instinct kicks in I will procrastinate. The medicine is to free write my thoughts.
If your life is a creation and you are the narrator, who do you want to be?
If we spend too much time thinking about things, we often don't make progress. When we can use empathy to self-examine, we can move out of rumination and cut ourselves some slack by reframing a situation to move us forward.
What types of situations leave you overthinking?
Innovating has a unique set of challenges. Presence can activate empathy & this allows us to reverse engineer problem solving. But we must first take time to listen upfront to maximize productivity
What are you trying to bring to life and what challenges are you trying to solve?
When those we are leading do not feel heard or listened to, the information they are trying to share will eventually dry up because they feel unvalidated. But when we listen with curiosity, we will discover a new solution. A solution that never occurred to us sans listening.
What you focus on grows. Lately, I have been focused on: bringing more partnership into my life, stepping into my purpose, doing more of what I'm passionate about and protecting what I've created.
What do you do to stay focused on what matters most?
"I just need more accountability" is what I hear often on why people do not move their biggest goals forward. But what they actually need is more support
That's what our Empathy Co-Creation™ process provides - a way to constantly move forward regardless of the chaos
It's easier to see our mistakes than to celebrate our wins.
When we train our brain to "check off" every win, we also stay motivated to continue making progress.
That's how we innovate in the unknown.
How many wins have you had this week? Tell us one here below!
Sometimes we resist what we can't change. I'm discovering that when we allow the experience to be what it is, we can move through it with peace. Through the lens of empathy, we can better accept what we cannot change
What have you let go of to move toward more peace lately?
We are better people when we're stronger...together. Great innovators not only build things, they build a connected “tribe” who feel like they belong to a greater purpose
What are the key benefits to being a part of a "tribe"?
I am a scientist at heart. I could spend all day discovering new ideas & ways of thinking. I remember in high school, friends would talk to me about their pain. My science side of things led me to the work I do - collecting emotional insights to create better products and team.
When it becomes ok to talk about how we are not perfect we can see that relationships are not about hierarchy, they are about helping each other. The key to this connection is curiosity. Curiosity leads to empathy. When we lead with empathy, we connect to create better things.
