@ubasanius Good afternoon Excellency sir,
Please can you take action on the passage of trailers and heavy duty trucks through Ahmadu Bello way in the day time.
Thank you
The Game of Thrones
This is an open letter to H.E @Kyusufabba the Governor Elect of the Great People of Kano.
Your Excellency one of my Mentors Dr Mukhtar Adam said and I quote "some of the solutions to the problems we seek do not exist in the pages of history, we must think outside the box and create new solutions".
For example in the case of H.E Dr Ganduje and his alleged deviation from the Kano Master plan and your excellencies clear messages to the people of Kano that certain Policies that do not favor the masses will be revoked.
Like the concerned citizen that i am, i would advise the Govenor elect that We must first weigh the socio-economic, impacts of such decisions, even if such decisions taken by the previous Government were borne out of greed, will reversing those decisions be in the best interest of the people of Kano? If yes then so be it if no then we move.
The truth is if you spend your tenure fighting the the previous Government a total reversal is an absolute waste of your time and resources because a man who wants to remain first while running a race cannot be fighting those behind him as well.
For example shops built on water ways, schools etc should ofcourse be removed, however shops built within the ambit of the law that do not suffer anyone any harm should be maintained as they create a source of business, a form of poverty alleviation and even security as evidenced in a thesis i wrote about the defensible space theory in 2022.
This brings me to the conversation we are all waiting for;
The issue of The Game of Thrones, was nothing more than a clash of egos to begin with and to be very honest the average Kano citizen does not stand to benefit anything in this tug of war.
SLS was an Emir like no other and while he was unique, would it be just to take the crown from someone who himself is simply a victim of "the clash of egos" need i remind you sir that the Governor had already made up his mind to depose the then Emir SLS therefore wether HRH Aminu Ado Bayero had accepted the title or not SLS would have been dethroned, and had Aminu Ado and the rest of the Sons of the Late Emir all rejected it, the title of king might even have been bestowed upon a less worthy candidate.
Your excellency a solution as simple as deposing the current Emir to reinstall the Previous Emir might lead to unrest as the current leadership also has it's structure, it would also set a nasty precedent that could further erode the already worn parts of our traditional institute by showing the world that any Government can install it's King and this would soon lead to a notion that anyone can become a King.
That i believe would not be the wisest course of action.
Your excellency i plead with you not to give in to the clash of external egos but to seek answers beyond a simple remove and install and look towards a more out of the box scenario that involves a harmonious solution for the great people of Kano.
I have always believed that SLS is an underutilized gem that shouldn't belong solely to the people of Kano, and can help the people of Kano regardless of title afterall leadership isn't by the position you hold but by the number of lives you inspire, SLS needs no crown nor title to be King worthy.
The Answers we seek might not be the answers they want, but the answers we need are the answers that put the Great people of Kano first, not the egos of mighty men.
Your excellency, your mentor Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has always been known as a man who puts Kano first. Today the ball is in your court, and whatever your decision on this particular matter is, we pray it should not deviate from your mentors path and your path of putting kano first.
I reiterate sir my job as a concerned citizen is only to advise that:
"The answer to this predicament may be an answer to which has never existed before."
