India uses its 4th most powerful military in the world to rescue Venezuelans trapped under the rubble after the devastating earthquakes that hit the country last week.
Venezuela is 9000 miles away from India. Setting up a makeshift hospital in Venezuela within 48 hours of the earthquakes is a milestone in itself.
India leads the way in showing up for countries in crisis - friend or foe.
Agnieszka Hadała, a Polish woman living in India, just called out something many people have noticed.
She asked why Europe gets empathy during a heatwave, while India is often mocked or called "backward" for facing similar challenges.
She pointed out that parts of Poland are struggling at 35°C, with schools closing, roads and railway tracks affected, and many homes without AC or even fans.
Meanwhile, India regularly faces 40-50°C summers. When Indians slept on Mumbai's Versova Beach during power cuts to escape the heat, it became a global joke.
Now people across Europe are doing the same, but this time the world responds with sympathy.
🇬🇷🇮🇳 India considers investments in Northern Greek ports for IMEC
The meeting yesterday at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport between Minister Christos Dimas and Indian Minister Piyush Goyal focused on the opportunities the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) offers Greece, as well as on enhancing economic ties with India.
During the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on IMEC, with Dimas noting that India's support for Greece's participation in the corridor recognizes the country's geostrategic and geo-economic position.
As he emphasized, Greece is a reliable link in international supply and value chains, while IMEC creates significant prospects for further development of bilateral economic cooperation.
The Indian Minister, for his part, expressed strong interest in investment opportunities in the ports of Northern Greece, with the aim of strengthening the relevant infrastructure and improving their future utilization within the framework of IMEC planning in the coming period.
Northern Greek ports appeal to India because of their strong geographic location, providing efficient access to the Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Black Sea region. These ports also allow diversification away from Piraeus, which has significant Chinese operational involvement, as well as bypassing the Suez Canal.
By investing in or partnering on northern Greek facilities (perhaps Thessaloniki, Kavala or Alexandroupoli), India can help establish resilient supply chain options that support IMEC's European leg.
For India, IMEC offers shorter and more cost-effective trade routes to Europe and the Middle East by reducing transit time by up to 40% and driving an increase in Indian exports (roughly $22 billion annually), enhance supply chain resilience against disruptions, and open new opportunities in energy and digital connectivity. It also strengthens India's geopolitical ties with Greece, Cyprus, the EU, Gulf countries, and Israel, while reducing dependence on routes influenced by strategic rivals.
For Greece, participation in IMEC positions the country as a key gateway for Indian and Middle Eastern goods entering the European Union. This brings substantial infrastructure investment, increased port activity, job creation in logistics and related sectors, and modernization of transport networks. It elevates Greece's role as a regional hub in the Eastern Mediterranean, diversifies its international partnerships, and leverages its large merchant fleet and strategic location for long-term economic and political gains.
While regional conflicts have caused delays to IMEC in the Middle Eastern leg, progress continues in Europe through bilateral agreements, targeted investments, and construction projects.

Big Embarrassment for Asim Munir in PoK.
Kashmiris protesting against Pakistan in Rawlakot, PoK declare that Kashmir is not a part of Pakistan. Kashmiris say we will not tolerate any dictator (Asim Munir) in PoK. Protests intensify against Pakistan Army.
Pakistan’s sudden embrace of its pre-Islamic past is less a civilisational awakening than a carefully crafted geopolitical rebranding, aided by the West, writes @Utpal_Kumar1
