@michelleL_13@wendysboys@Bederowlaw Intent was formed the second the murderer left his home with a knife. He didn't take it to peel oranges. He had evil in his mind.
@Bederowlaw There has to be some sort of agenda going on here. This case is entirely straightforward and is only in the news because it has been poisoned by race baiters. Why any competent lawyer would suggest something surprising about a guilty verdict suggests an ulterior motive or agenda.
@The_FJC That's staggering. Educated people can't follow the evidence and apply the law because they have a racial bias? That sounds like a serious cultural problem and one that can't be blamed on a lack of education. Quite worrying.
@binarystripes@t_sadiity Absolutely. She's giving a rather sinister suggestion that black people are incapable of following the law and would acquit murderers based on their race.
@t_sadiity Unlikely as blacks are a small minority. Same reason a jury has never been fully complemented by natives. Lots of white people have faced fully black juries in Ghana, Liberia and Mauritius. That isn't prejudice it's demographics.
@EllSimonds@ForgiatoBlow47 Given what we know about his attitude and obvious arrogance, he's going to have enough disciplinary tickets to ensure he does the whole 35, heck he may end up with additional time if another inmate or guard tells him to leave a part of the prison.
@queenie4rmnola Yup. He should have got life. Hopefully he'll appeal and will get a tougher sentence as a result. It's the only way to discourage other 'tough guys'
@theebaddiebey Fascinating. It'll be truly soul destroying getting up each day to post about child murderers that aim to turn them into victims. I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Each new case that rolls in you must be thinking 'oh boy how bad is this guy I need to support going to be' π
@NishayMonae Pro Tip: Don't allow him to leave the home with a knife or a loaded handgun and don't let him be friends with people who carry knives or handguns and life will be sweet!
