You are the vibes that your kids absorb: if you can simply stay high-energy, clear-minded, emotionally mature, full of enthusiasm, love, and gratitude around them, and manage to do it every single day, you will already fulfill the bigger part of your responsibilities as a parent.
Signs of wealth:
- You can afford to watch your kids grow
- You feel mentally at peace with who you are
- You have friends you truly trust
- You have family you truly love
- You feel healthy, free, alive
- You have a purpose that makes you grow into who you want to be
Bitcoin's use as a global currency has already started. If you want to participate you have to find the people who are doing it and participate. So far, they are mostly in the third world, because the third world has the worst currencies and banks.
Or, you could simply HODL, since in this preliminary epoch, Bitcoin's main strength in the developed world is as a long-term store of value.
This is one you should watch on a big TV.
One of the most incredible corporate videos I ever have seen and I was with the GoPro video team the night it released its Hero 2 video that brought that company to an IPO.
My boss's boss is like 42, never married, no kids. Earns $275-300K per year. Goes on a minimum of two international vacations a year w/ his girlfriend. 10+ days, all out.
Eats the best food, stays in top notch accomodations. Excursions, tours, nicest beaches, etc.
Great guy, I'm happy for him.
But what I've realized is that without kids, you end up chasing a lifestyle that has to continually be topped in order for you to be satisfied and find happiness.
What he and others like him don't understand is that when you have children, seeing THEM experience life's most basic things and watching their eyes light up at all the "firsts", brings greater pleasure and joy than any vacation or travel experience ever could.
Seeing THEM try blueberries for the first time is greater than dining at the best 5 star restaurant in Europe.
Seeing THEM learn how to walk is greater than walking the Great Wall of China or strolling along the most picturesque beach.
Watching THEM giggle uncontrollably at "peek-a-boo" tops any A-list comedian act.
Seeing THEIR excitement when building a fort out of cardboard boxes and making a door big enough for daddy is superior to staying at 5-star resorts.
Flying kites with THEM far outweighs excursions like parasailing or helicopter rides.
Seeing THEM perform a recital on stage for the first time is more rewarding than watching a Broadway show or top notch symphony orchestra.
-----------------
When you have children, all of a sudden you realize that life's greatest joys are not in the pursuit of things or pleasure or travel, but rather in the LOVE and bond you share with your very own image bearers.
Seeing the beauty and magnificence and wonder of life all over again for the first time through THEIR eyes and expressions gives you something the world simply cannot offer, nor even come close.
Our civilization —the greatest to have ever existed— has produced the greatest art, music, literature and architecture in the world. It is all ours, but we risk losing it all unless we implement remigration.
For the sake of our children, we must make Remigration happen.
James Van Der Beek passed away today.
I’m a healthcare guy and I post about healthcare.
Now I want to talk about James.
He was special, he was 48 years old, a Father of six, a Husband. He was man who spent his final chapter teaching the ultimate guide to real life.
James was part of my growing up. Dawson’s Creek. Varsity Blues. The 90s. He was just there, woven into the background.
What he did over the last few years was bigger than any of that. He recorded a video on his last birthday.
Cancer had taken everything he used to define himself. He couldn’t be the husband who helped around the house.
He couldn’t pick up his kids and carry them to bed. He couldn’t work.
He was too weak to prune the trees on his own property. And he sat with that.
He asked himself the question most of us spend a lifetime avoiding: If I am none of the things I do, who am I?
His answer was simple.
Devastating. Beautiful.
“I am worthy of God’s love simply because I exist. And if I’m worthy of God’s love, shouldn’t I also be worthy of my own?”
That’s it.
That’s the whole thing.
We spend our careers building identities around what we produce, what we control, and what we can point to.
And then life has a way of stripping it all down to the studs. James Van Der Beek faced that moment with the courage.
He said cancer was the best thing that ever happened to him because it taught him how to live.
He left behind his wife, Kimberly, six children, and a message that every father, husband, and man chasing the next thing needs to sit with.
Watch this video.
Then call someone you love.
Thank you for your contribution.
Rest easy…
@_milankovac_@MarioNawfal Exactly, we seem to be in decline as civilisation. Luckily there are some countries in (eastern) Europe still holding up, but they are getting oppressed by the "strong ones".
