After this past year & a half of #covid, what money habit will you continue to use moving forward?
I'll share.
"Sleeping" on desired items. Overnight, I noticed that "need" wasn't so powerful after a few winks.

@herfirst100K My boss verbatim told me "I think the whole team is so much happier and even more productive without the commute." She then proceeded to move along a recommendation of 5 days/week in-office to her supervisors. I quit 🙃
@InvestmentTalkk $TSLA (unintentionally) because I bought many shares for $400 pre-split. Sold some at $900 post-split but still have a good amount sitting in my account. $GOOGL, $AAPL, & $NVDA close behind
@MetalheadMoney I've been using Betterment since 2016. It's fantastic! Simple, very customizable, user-friendly, and tax time is a breeze. Let me know if there are any specific questions I can answer!
I'm not justifying the actions of the 1st person. But the hypocrisy & misogyny of this place is glaring, & only one of the reasons I had already put in my two weeks. #toxicworkplace
My work just recently fired a woman for plagiarism. This morning, my boss (female) noticed an article she prepared for the local newspaper was posted 1) without her knowledge 2) with the male Director of Communications listed as the author.
@movingandbaking @Financialplgrm I just read this email too 😂 Like damn I'm at work, we're in a pandemic, I have shit to do today! Going to war on social media for two multi-billion dollar companies is nowhere on my to-do list
These business owners are really out there like "the government is paying people $1200/month before taxes, I can't compete with that!"
$1200 isn't even a rent check, nevermind enough to actually live. If you can't pay people that much then your business model is exploitive.
@jonny93s It's essentially just a late letter confirming the third round of stimulus checks. It had already been deposited into their bank account last month, so they thought this one was extra
My friend got the delayed "congrats, here's $2,800" IRS/American Rescue Plan letter and texted me about it while I was at work. She thought it was an additional surprise stimulus and went out and bought $3,000 worth of furniture...I hate to be the bearer of bad news but damn😐
@InvestmentTalkk You too! It's a fantastic feeling. 🥳 Am I just paranoid or can manager's sniff this stuff out? My boss made a comment yesterday: "I feel like everyone is bailing on me," and today offered me an extra week of vacation🙃🙃
@dollarsanddrams Yeesh I know you didn't mean this to be inflammatory but like...I work in the non-profit space so "working towards six figures" would mean trading career fulfillment to chase a dollar and that doesn't really sit right 🥴
@TheFioneers Congrats! 🥳 I was scheduled for J&J, but since that's been put on pause, I got switched to Pfizer. Not jazzed about more than one shot, but still thankful CT has the supply to keep my appt.!
The very worst part of talking about unpaid maternity leaves is when people want to tell you how much worse it was back in the day.
We’ve turned suffering into an Olympic sport while we are lapped by virtually the entire world in terms of parental leave.
God bless America.
Q1 BAD TAKES BRACKET
Cast your votes for the worst personal finance takes (and some non-PF takes from PF folks).
Sweet 16 each quarter will go on to the 2021 annual bad takes competition, but we'll keep voting after winnowing it down to 16 for seeding (and bc its fun).
