When is a Hemorrhoid NOT a Hemorrhoid?
When it’s anal cancer!
It’s 2026 & in the patient support groups I’m still BLOWN AWAY (& annoyed!) at the amount of misdiagnosis/missed diagnosis still occurring daily & globally! IF IN DOUBT refer to colorectal! You could be saving a life.

Yet despite the growing crisis, colorectal cancer still has no dedicated federal research funding source.
This rise demands real investment in research.
📣 Take action: Call your members of Congress and ask them to support the creation of a Colorectal Cancer Research Program within the CDMRP to invest in lifesaving research.
