@andersleehere I had the same experience with After Hours the Velvet Underground song. It cut off such a way that "all the people are dancing" sounded like "all the people are dead" with a sudden cut and I loved it.
@swishergrrl The NTBTSTM fandom specifically has freaked me out and really made me aware of the absurdity of it. Tweeting shit like "so I went through every social media post Jay has made in the last 15 years and WHAT IS THIS" like how terrifying to ever be perceived these days.
@kringrush What's wrong? I don't remember everyone complaining when Randy Newman released 75 limited edition versions, including but not limited to:
You've Got a Friend in Me (7" Humming and Slapping his Thighs on the Toilet Version)
But when Taylor does it!
@sbodrojan Don't worry it's still the best movie ever made. And Art School Confidential is still a crushing disappointment. Just met Pat Healey last week and he signed his polaroid of John Ellis on the Ghost World blu-ray :)
@ben_eales That is kinda the point. What is your special phone going to do that security can't? Would it not just cut down on clogged emergency lines too? But that's a fun scary scenario you made up for this week's dumbass internet discourse that you won't care about soon.
@kaz_ghafa I'm shocked you don't know how to explain things without the help of an imaginary disabled person. You can just say you want your phone, a lot less dorky.
@Elegant_Prose Schrodinger's disabled person. They exist and are having their rights infringed upon only when I want to do something I can't 😤 I'm a good person.
hill i’ll die on: phone free concerts are utter bullshit in this economy, for what you’re charging me for your fucking ticket i’ll record whenever and whatever i want and you shut tf up. gigs are becoming more and more inaccessible, i have to right to take pics, videos, MEMORIES
@PALADlNSTRAIT The best kind of ableism discourse on this app is when it's completely imaginary just to win some kind of intangible argument. It paradoxically always feels very conservative.
@nnepenthes No but everyone needs to try to have a banger tweet about dumb discourse, so they will assimilate language. Same with Indie Sleaze. The real answer is there was an insufferable amount of overly specific sub-genres.
@missthisliv This year I've really enjoyed alternating between a denser more complicated book and something more lighthearted. Sometimes following up an 1000 page book with an 1000 page book is just too much, and sometimes reading nothing but "easy books" feels like junk food. Variety!
@Srirachachau Seems like most had a similar experience (including myself) didn't realize who it was, but knew it was off. Kinda impressive, albeit problematic lol
