STLG new member:Laura Willen is a postdoctoral visiting fellow at the NIH. She studies human immune responses against mosquito bites and arboviral infections. She is a DC beekeeper and whenever she is not busy catching a swarm, you can find her on her bike exploring the outdoors.

STLG new member: Muhammed Camara. Muhammed is from The Gambia 🇬🇲, pursuing a master's degree in Medical Entomology at Virginia Tech in the Eastwood Lab. He is passionate about researching mosquito-borne diseases, with a particular focus on arboviruses.
Shannon just presented her work on the "Development and characterization of a sublethal-sequelae mouse model of EEEV infection" at ASV. Congratulations, Shannon!
STLG new member: Shannon Carney @sionainn_c. Shannon is a PhD student at Virginia Tech studying encephalitic alphaviruses, particularly eastern equine encephalitis virus, in the Kehn-Hall lab. Outside the lab, she enjoys riding horses, playing polo, running, hiking, and reading.
