The outreach, which has engaged the National Treasury, State Department for Energy, State Department for Lands and Physical Planning, among other State Departments, seeks to strengthen coordination and accountability in Kenya’s landscape restoration efforts.
The NLER Strategy 2023–2024 provides a clear roadmap for restoration, outlining 11 key intervention areas and county-specific targets to guide planning, resource mobilization, and implementation at both national and sub-national levels.
As part of today’s activities, the Coordinator of the #15BillionTrees Secretariat, Ms. Susan Boit, hosted a delegation from the Anglican Church of Kenya led by Mr. Dennis Nthenge. Ms. Boit commended the Church’s initiative, noting that faith-based organizations are critical partners in mobilizing communities for climate action, tree planting, and environmental stewardship.
