@DrJesseMorse Jesse - Thanks for sharing! Do not think those are her X-rays. She has had 3 acl surgeries in that knee. There is no presence of tunnels or implants in that knee. Cheers!
@RyanPolesBacker @DrJesseMorse yes. if this was offseason -> surgery,
In season, you try to rehab and get back to play (unless concerning findings on MRI). surgery at the end of the season
@DrJesseMorse These are the 3 things I look for clearance with brace
#1. No apprehension (pain with motion)
#2. Full Range of motion
#3. Normal strength
@DrNickColyvas@KostasEcono13@ArthroscopyJ @mayoclinicsport @MayoClinic let's do a study. Multicenter. Easy to do since it would be entirely done in the office. Group 1 intra-articular injection vs group 2 pie crusting + injection
@JacobOeding @AJSM_SportsMed @DrKrych@ChrisCampMD@nathanvarady@AyooshPareekMD@bennwachukwumd Most of the articles in this study do not mention dose of PRP (how may milliliters of blood were drawn, total of platelets injected etc). Imaging performing a study comparing aspirin and lovenox for dvt ppx without knowing the dose.
@MarkWoodleyTV I would respectfully disagree with Sheryl. Beating those records in this day and age it is significantly harder. Teams scout opponents. Strategies are in place. Players are more physical. Teams really prepare for those games and how to stop their key players.
Kudos to the team physicians, researchers, global nonprofits and sports leagues teaming up to counteract worrisome trends on #ACL injury in young patients.
@SportklinikBern@hirslanden what protocol do you use after the injection? do you place them on a brace to make sure both ends of the tear remain close to each other?
@mikeinglephysio@nickMira9@Aspetar you may read Freddie Fu's studies over 30 years at the university of Pittsburgh looking at transtibial techniques vs anatomic acl recon.
