1/2 We are saddened to hear of the sudden passing of friend and colleague Nigel Hullah.
Nigel worked very closely with our Dementia Team and leaves a remarkable legacy, having been a huge presence in the national and regional dementia programmes.
Here is one for you @HelenhowsonBC I’ve been the staff member trying to figure out why a pt is not on the list . I remember maybe @amcunningham sharing a similar story on X of a ‘Not an appointment letter’? Untrusted assessment, over checking, #sillyrule = mega-failure demand
@AlexMorrish@JohnWSeddon Likely a #sillyrule - to determine your urgency your notes are needed, but can’t be released without an appointment. Creating one automatically prints a letter which is normally destroyed . Some are accidentally sent and pt’s turn up & frontline staff don’t have them on the list.
@HelenBevan Maybe it’s the mental models that evolved which altered the choice of methodologies ? Dominance or single ontological sense making? Since updated from Pascal. Source here - https://t.co/UinDyUBmT8
@JohnWSeddon@JohnWSeddon couldn’t it also be the case that when the acuity, needs & goals of pt’s are matched with the right expertise, it’s entirely appropriate for the few to take up more clinical capacity, as they are performing at the top of their scope to deal with the variety?

@DrGW0@alisonleary1 Productivity doesn’t feel right but I know what you mean on the sentiment. My MSc diss looked at cases of ‘whole system approaches’ in Wales = Staff trying to make a difference. The lit review touched on 70 k staff post pandemic leaving & with it tacit & idiographic knowledge
Pleased to share, my MSc is completed. My dissertation ‘Cases of Whole System approaches in NHS Wales & implications of Systems Thinking in Practice for #Improvement practitioners’ had recommendations aligned to the health & care quality standards. Thanks to all that contributed
Cardiff Met's water polo teams are heading to Malta for training and need our support to make it happen. Every bit helps! Please consider donating and sharing this. Thank you! https://t.co/YaMUjuF4GS
Going over to #bluesky to check it out . https://t.co/NAGROa9BBL . Not seeing the fantastic stuff I used to from the NHS in the timeline . Will try and share and post more over there too.

Great 2nd session yesterday with my Q Lab Cymru colleague @PhD_Sport_Psy providing an insights session for @ImprovementCym teams. Blending participatory techniques with research done from Dr Gary Klein to create ‘insight strategies’ #SeeingWhatOthersDont#QLabCymru#5Cs
