On 4-4-09, PGH Police Officers Paul Sciullo II, Stephen Mayhle, & Eric Kelly made the ultimate sacrifice to their community. We honor their legacy, bravery, and commitment to protecting others. Our thoughts remain with their families and the PGH Police Dept.
Attorney General Dave Sunday announced several arrests and seizures of six firearms, along with ammunition and accessories, resulting from three recent search warrant operations led by the Allegheny County County Gun Violence Task Force.
The warrants come about a month before the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, where numerous fans will assemble in Western PA for the annual event:

This Saturday, ACHA Police and ACHA staff proudly took the Polar Plunge in support of Special Olympics! 🥶❄️ It was freezing, but supporting such an incredible cause makes it more than worth it. We’re proud of our officers and staff who showed up, jumped in, and gave back. 💙
We followed w a meeting w the Allegheny County Housing Authority & @AChousingPD to further discuss their progression towards home ownership & adaptive reuse in addition to skills training for residents. Their focus on the individual rather than the dwelling should be replicated.

On this day, we honor the victims of 9/11 and stand with their families. We also pay tribute to the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their courage continues to inspire us. We will never forget.
Chief Vogel attended the swearing-in of Chief Jason Binder at White Oak PD. Binder, a 22-year veteran who retired as Inspector with Allegheny County PD, now leads White Oak. He & Chief Vogel graduated IUP Police Academy together—wishing him nothing but success!
Thank you to South Hills Country Club for hosting Police Appreciation Day on August 25. We were honored to be represented by Chief Vogel, Chief Deliman, Det. Cpl. Kilburn, and Sgt. Cole, and to reflect on the sacrifice of the fallen Pittsburgh Police Officers of 2009.
Chief Vogel met with U.S. Senator McCormick and HUD Secretary Turner on Friday to discuss public housing safety, statewide policing initiatives, and key law enforcement issues. Grateful for the opportunity to be part of the conversation.
