One of the weird things about working as a foreigner is that some people aren't sure how to treat you. I have some co workers who are totally chill and natural, others who I feel like I am obviously burdening. I feel bad as it's my lack of language skill.... Gotta work hard!!

@bunburyoudouuk That's my issue with this larper. If he was just pretending to live in Japan, I couldn't care less. But he is consistently pushing his perspective, potentially affecting someone's image of Japan, which is wild to think tbh.Imagine your view of a country being formed by a larper

@politicalawake @rookie2vet @KyoAlexiel I have many awesome Japanese friends at my company. All wonderful people. Not a single one acts/speaks/thinks like this. If one to were *suppose* that you are in fact Japanese, you would probably be a social outcast, weirdo, and one who most would avoid with this type of behavior

@tatamilife I think it depends on your goals. 1) Japanese name could avoid possible surface level discrimination (job apps, etc.) for kids 2) wife won't have to change name on bank accounts , cards 3) application (like credit card) get easier ...
