It's been hard counting at #BRC13 last few days under blue skies and a relentless August sun. Nevertheless, there are now nearly 160K raptors on the counter and station 2 got nice gems today in the form of Crested Honey Buzzard, and a stunning dark morph Long-legged Buzzard.
#WhiteStork migration just started and 3 out of 19 GPS-tracked juveniles won't reach their wintering areas. They've died in #powerlines close to landfill sites, highlithing these sites as collision hotspots, as we've found in our new paper:
