My family just sent me this video. They told me that the warplanes flying over Gaza tonight are unusually intense. There are many of them in the sky, and the sound is extremely frightening.

I spoke with my father, and he told me that he is worried it might be because tomorrow is October 7th. He expects tonight and tomorrow to be very difficult for them, and he fears that the bombing may intensify on this day.

It is incredibly difficult for me to hear my father speak this way and to know that my family is living through this fear and uncertainty right now, not knowing what might happen in the coming hours. All I can do from here is stay in contact with them and pray that they make it safely through tonight and tomorrow, and that they all remain safe and well.

Today, on October 5th, The Sameer Project team were surrounded with bullets while distributing water in Eastern Salah El Deen. As you can see, men were crawling to avoid the shots coming from the military occupation.

Israeli occupation forces detained six Palestinian workers from the occupied West Bank while they were harvesting olives near the town of Sulam.

The detention came as the workers were carrying out seasonal agricultural labour during the olive harvest.
